Is revenge on the gift list this Holiday Season? For President Joe Biden is spending the remaining weeks of his presidency grinding assorted axes. Between organizing this year’s White House Christmas decorations, staff holiday parties and a string of final goodbyes, the president and his First Lady Jill Biden have been quietly sharpening the metaphorical carving knives, with their sights set firmly on the one-time allies and any perceived slights. Biden infuriated many senior members of the Democratic Party with his shocking U-turn and pardon of his son Hunter recently, after months of publicly vowing he wouldn’t make such a move.

President Biden’s slew of clemency grants and pardons have ignited a media firestorm. Many are lambasting his choice to grant pardons to many disgraced former Democratic public officials. Their charges range from sex crimes to money laundering to embezzlement of public money. While pardons by outgoing administrations are a long standing traditon; It is debatable whether on not such controversial pardons are the worth the political capital. There’s no doubt that this issue will resurface in upcoming mid-term elections. As we move closer to the inaugaration of incoming Presiden Trump, the Biden Administration is being festooned with pardon requests.
