Earlier this month Colorado Football star Travis Hunter put the finishing touches on a historic season by winning the Heisman Trophy.

Unfortunately, his Heisman moment was overshadowed by fans calling out his fiancee, Leanna Lenee, for seeming less than celebratory or even interested at the Heisman Trophy Ceremony. The backlash from fans eventually forced Lenee to make her Instagram private.

She chose to leave her TikTok account public and decided to address the vitriol she’s seen from fans over the past few months – finishing with an explanation as to what happened at the ceremony.

“This is making me so mad because anyone who knows me knows I support Travis in every win, everything he does, because I truly, truly love that man,” she said in her defense of the Heisman moment.

“He is perfect in my eyes. When his name was called, I instantly was going to… If you watch the video, you can see me like [gestures like she was about to stand],” she commented. “But his mom didn’t get up. So I was like, ‘Oh, maybe I don’t get up. Maybe I just sit here with her.’ So I sat there and then you all said, ‘Coach Prime had to tell me to get up.’ No, he didn’t. He said, ‘Go get him. Go get your man.’ But he didn’t have to do that because I was going to do that anyways.

“As soon as I seen Travis get up, then I thought it was appropriate to stand up, greet him, congratulate him. But then there was a camera right in front of Coach Prime, and I knew they were going to film that moment. And because of how people are online, I was like, ‘I don’t want to be in that shot, so I’m going to sit down.’ So I tried to sit down. So I’m not in the camera while I’m crying.”

In the days since she posted the video, several videos of her escapades in (Including being featured in a rap video clad in lace lingerie) recent years popped up on social media, leading to more speculation about her relationship with Hunter. The recent revelation of a video of Lenee twerking on another man’s groin appears to have been the final straw as both Hunter and Lenee have not only made their social media platforms private, but outright deleted them.

Hunter’s deactivated his Instagram account, while Lenee deactivated both her Instagram and TikTok accounts.

Whatever the New Year may bring for this young couple, it has to be said that Lenee has demonstrated that she is not wife material. A littany of celebrities and online influencers have combined in an effort to warn the young football phenom of what seems to be impending heartbreak. Until now Hunter has rebuked warnings from older, more experinced men LikeComedian Godfrey and Rapper Bow-Wow. It goes without saying that no love is worth such abject public embarassment. But if Travis Hunter don’t wanna be saved so don’t save him.
